![]() The only reason I upgraded is that I got a discount to make it $2000 and I can hopefully get money back on my old one so all in all I'm going to be out like the price of the promotional headset they're giving me. Objectively speaking, if I was looking at the retail price of the OG G9 ($1600 USD) vs retail price of Neo G9 ($2500 USD) I wouldn't say it was worth the price difference for what I got. Really, for the few glitches here and there, it provided me with a fantastic experience and I was able to overlook its flaws as an early adopter and enjoy it for what it was. I mentioned my problems with the OG G9, and they shouldn't be glossed over. IMO you would be very satisfied with the OG G9 as well. This is important, because I need to empathize that the OG G9 provides a fantastic image already. But in my day-to-day gaming experience, the image really doesn't look that much better. HDR is better (well, compared to the G9). With that being said, I do not notice a huge change over my OG G9 in picture quality. On the whole, the Neo G9 is providing me a better experience. Not all of them.some games like Star Citizen and even FF14 can crash my whole PC when in 240hz mode. But.the contrast even in SDR is much better, and a lot of the problems that I had with my OG G9, like panel flickering, popping noises, most scanlines, panel randomly getting darker/lighter, problems sometimes switching between HDR/SDR modes, some games glitching when in exclusive fullscreen, etc) are resolved with the Neo G9. I wish the HDR worked right now in gaming (looks freaking mindblowing outside of gaming). I own the OG G9, and I also purchased the Neo G9 (exercising my product replacement plan with best buy, supposedly if they are unable to replace my G9 with another G9 they are supposed to refund me, and the G9 has been sold out for 10 months, so.).
